Assistant Facilities Manager

Job Classification: Salary Non-Exempt
 
Reports to: Facilities Manager
 
Job Summary:  Assist the Facilities Manager in the supervision of buildings and grounds as well as the coordination and use of church facilities
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing church facilities for activities and events and breakdown and secure facilities afterwards
  • Perform facility and equipment maintenance as directed by the Facility Manager
  • Ensure cleanliness/appearance of church facilities and grounds
  • Assist with inspection and maintenance of light bulbs, fixtures, HVAC filters, and other maintenance duties as assigned within the church campus
  • Empty recycle bins per schedule, place bins on curb, and replace once empty
  • Assist in keeping kitchen recycling/trash and dumpster areas clean and neat
  • In absence of Facility Manager, act as point of contact for all issues relating to facilities use and church equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work (or the willingness to learn to operate) any tools necessary to accomplish assigned maintenance duties
  • Able to work inside or outside regardless of temperature or other weather conditions
  • Ability to accomplish jobs requiring heavy lifting (>50 pounds)
 
Work Hours and Benefits:  
  • Part-time (approximately twenty hours per week)
  • Work schedule coordinated with facilities manager and based on campus activity schedule and weekend hours are occasionally required.
