Reports to: Business Manager
 
Job Summary:  Assist the Business Manager in the daily financial functions of the church within established guidelines of the United Methodist Church
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform and maintain all aspects of church accounts payable records (to include cross-training in payroll and accounts receivable functions)
  • Maintain accounting and financial records according to established guidelines
  • Perform day-to-day operations of assigned church financial functions and assure church financial affairs are in accord with the best financial practices and established guidelines of the United Methodist Church
  • Support the Business Manager with report preparation and necessary research for the Senior Pastor, Church Staff, Church Treasurer, Administrative Board, Finance, Endowment, and Trustee Committees
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Willingness to cross-train and learn new skills
  • Ability to walk/move around campus frequently
  • Able to  lift up to 20 pounds
 
Work Hours and Benefits: 
  • Part-time, (approximately twenty hours per week)
  • Work hours are flexible, to be approved in advance by the position’s supervisor
