Women's Enrichment Ministry

WINTER-SPRING 2012 begins Wednesday, January 11 at 9:15 am in the Family Life Center. Download the latest brochure >
Beth Moore – James: Mercy Triumphs
James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways, James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any other New Testament book. Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, singlemindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer.
Cost: $15.00

Gospeled Lives: Encounters with Jesus by John Indermark
An encounter with the living Christ demands a response. In this book we meet New Testament individuals who heard Jesus speak a word about their life. Some responded with joy and gratitude. Some ignored or rejected his word to them. In this six week study, we will discern Christ's word for our lives and examine our own response. Join Pastor Beverly Burk for this study which will begin in the season of Lent.
Cost: $12
Teachers: Rev. Beverly Burk and Pat Butler
The Good and Beautiful Life – James Bryan Smith
"I have never met a person whose goal was to ruin his or her life. We all want to be happy, and we want it all of the time." – James B. Smith The problem is, we have bought into false notions of happiness and success. These self-centered decisions lead us further into the vices that cause ruin: anger, lust, lying, worry and judging. Eventually we find ourselves living a beautifully packaged life of selfdestruction. The author guides us to look behind these character flaws and to replace our false beliefs with Jesus' narratives about life in the kingdom of God.
Cost: $13.00
Teachers: Janet Smith and Mary Ann Coffin
