Pastor's Corner… The current popular movie, —The Blind Side,? has been the topic of many conversations in recent weeks. The movie tells the true story of a young black boy from the poor side of town being taken in by a wealthy family. The young man is a talented football player that goes on to become a professional football star. The position he plays is to defend the quarterback from the opposition on their —blind side? as the quarterback attempts to pass the football. To do his job, the quarterback has to be totally trusting that the guard will protect him. I'm reminded that God protects us on our —blind side.? God is always with us. In John 14:1 Jesus teaches: —Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God to be with us and guide us in all of life's challenges. We are called to trust God. God promises not to desert us. I pray that we always trust God more than we trust human promises and wisdom. – Pastor Fred

Who is Jesus and what is His significance in your life? If you would like to explore this concept, take part in this 8-week study of the New Testament. Using Matthew's Gospel as a starting point, this study explores how the New Testament writers and the early Christian community wrestled with the coming of Jesus and the implications of His arrival for their lives and their communities of faith. This study will also invite you to study afresh the story of Jesus, and learn more about your calling to discipleship and to community. —Invitation to the New Testament? begins Wednesday, March 10th Led by Rory Shepherd Wednesdays, 6:30 – 8:30 in the FLC Materials: Workbook – Cost $11.00 Call Cindy Bowers @ 249-2565 to register

In addition, they provide a wonderful Christian environment for learning about Christ. Call: 830-331-9916 Outreach Ministries thanks everyone for the support you've offered in helping the needy in Boerne, Mexico, Galveston, and Uganda. Through your generous support, prayers, monetary and dedication of time, we've been able to help many. In December, we delivered a meal and over 400 toys to Mexico for the annual Christmas celebration. We assisted them in buying food for the children at Aleluya Methodist Church and the House of Mercy, plus helped construct a new boy's dorm at the House of Mercy. In Boerne, we re-built a home for a mom and her son, providing a very nice change in their quality of life. In Uganda, we drilled a well, bought bicycles, and many other things that make life a little better for the ministry we support. None of this would be possible without your support. Thank you!
