All of our Music Ministry teams are committed to using the gift of music to glorify God, lead God’s people in worship, and touch hearts and minds in the way that only music can. We are musical team mates, a support system for one another, and friends.
For more information on any of our music teams, contact Karen Andrews @ firstname.lastname@example.org.
This group loves to sing and is for everyone from beginner singers who don’t read music at all, to experts of all ages. We rehearse a wide range of traditional styles, from Gospel to Classical and everything in between.
We meet from 7:00-8:30 on Wednesdays, during the school year, with occasional summer rehearsals.
There are a number of opportunities throughout the year to have fun and grow in musical ability such as camps, workshops and special seasonal worship services, but our primary responsibility is leading the music at the 11:00 worship hour each Sunday.
Jubellation Handbell Choir
This fun ensemble is made up of beginners and experienced ringers and is open to adults and student ringers. There is no audition, but some prior music reading experience is necessary however.
We rehearse weekly on Wednesdays from 5:50-6:50 (right before Chancel Choir rehearsal) and prepare music to play for worship approximately every six weeks.
There are opportunities throughout the year to grow in ability by attending classes and workshops with the group outside of regular rehearsals.
The contemporary worship team leads the music for the 9am service. Those with skills on, piano, bass, drums, vocals, guitar, saxaphone, or really any instrument, can contact Karen to talk about how you can best use your gifts to serve in worship!
Children’s Choir (Crossfire)
Crossfire is an exciting and engaging musical experience for our young people (Kinder – 5th grade) and is open to kids from our church as well as the wider comunity. We rehearse from 4:45-5:30 on Wednesdays. Participation in Kids’ Club from 3:00-4:45 is encourged, but not required.
Crossfire is currently working on our fall musical “What’s up Zac?” a fun retelling of the story of Zacheus. We will perform in worship at 9:00 and 11:00am on November 12. After that, we will begin working on our Christmas music! Please contact Hollie Garza to get more information about rehearsal dates and times: email@example.com
