Uganda Mission
Our church's mission work in Uganda is made possible by partnering with two Ugandan ministries, the Uganda Tree of Life Ministries and African Renewal Ministries. These ministries focus on providing life support services and spiritual assistance to women, men and children; going hut-to-hut for mercy ministry, prayer and evangelism; assessing child sponsorship programs and other sponsored projects; and making visits to many of our sponsored shildren's homes. During a visit in July 2007 we kicked off a program called Soles for Souls by distributing over 800 pairs of shoes to African children and providing an education on the benefits of wearing shoes. We had 11 people travel to Uganda in 2008. They were able to show over 600 children the love of Jesus through a skit about Noah, making bracelets and necklaces. If you have a spot in your heart to reach out to the truly needy, contact Lee Bowers at 210-387-8625 to become involved in this loving ministry.

Piedras Negras, Mexico
First United Methodist Church-Boerne has been working with University Methodist Church to support Mexican Colonias in need of help. We currently are working with the Templo Aleluya Methodista Church. They feed 40 children per day, plus provide food staples for local adults and parents. We also provide financial assistance to the church for needed equipment and supplies. With your support, we hope to adopt this Church to help provide a steady flow of loving care and support the ministry needs in spreading the word of Christ to their community. If you are interest in learning more about this ministry please contact Robert Dibble at 830-755-8889.
