Nursery

contact: Trish Weaver, Nursery Coordinator, tel 249-2565 ext. 31 | email >

Our church nursery is open every Saturday night and Sunday morning for infant and toddler care during all four Worship services for all families who come to First United Methodist Church.

Nursery care can also be provided during other church events. Please check with the nursery staff to see if nursery services have been requested for a particular event. If they have not, the church staff member in charge of the event must make the request to the Nursery Coordinator. Once nursery services have been approved, reservations can be made for the event. Reservations need to be made at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations are required 24 hours in advance unless unavoidable. Standing reservations are available for recurring events (bible studies, etc.). The above cancellation policy applies. Reservations can be made by phone or email. We will respond to you with a confirmation.

POLICY
Check in: begins 15 minutes prior to the event or service. Please sign your child in on the form on the table just outside the nursery door.
Pick up: Nursery closes 15 minutes after the scheduled ending time of the event or service. Please sign your child out on the same form that they were signed in on.
Personal Belongings: Please bring the following items with you to nursery: ∗ Diapers (if not potty trained) ∗ Extra change of clothes ∗ Bottles and formula for infants ∗ Sippy cup (if needed) Please limit other personal belongings and label all items with your child's name.

CHRISTIAN AWARENESS
On Sunday Mornings, the 2 year old children in the nursery have the opportunity to learn and talk about God. The environment is similar to Sunday School but not as structured, thus allowing for the developmental needs of children this age.

TEDDY BEAR PICNICS
Teddy Bear Picnics are a time of fellowship for preschoolers and their caregivers. Bring your lunch and your teddy bear and join us the fourth Friday of the month at noon. The location of the picnic varies so please call the church office at 249-2565 or check the Children's Ministry Bulletin Board outside Saxon Hall.

PAGERS
For the comfort of our parents, pagers are available that will allow us to contact you during church services. Please let one of the nursery workers know if you would like to use these.

FIRST AID: For the safety of the children in our care, there is always one nursery staff member on duty that is trained in CPR and first aid.
